PEKING UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF TRANSNATIONAL LAW 由 KPF 设计的北京大学国际法学院，占地8,900平方米，位于北京大学的新研究生院校区，同时，该校区内有汇丰商学院。KPF所设计的跨国法学院将成为进入该校园的门户。The 8,900-square-meter Peking University (PKU) School of Transnational Law, designed by KPF, is located on PKU’s new graduate school campus, which also includes the new HSBC Business School. KPF’s School of Transnational Law Building will mark the gateway to the campus. 该学院大楼坐落于小桥, 比邻的溪流和 一个进入校园路线的入口广场之间。It sits on a small triangle between a bridge, an adjacent stream and a plaza that currently serves as the entry to the central spine of the campus. 该学院大楼的建设委托人是一群顶级的中国和美国法律学者，他们来自耶鲁、康奈尔和密歇根等学术机构。The client is a group of leading Chinese and American legal scholars from several academic institutions including Yale, Cornell and Michigan. At a full five stories, it defines the southern edge of the university’s main entry plaza. A large portal cut within its façade defines a gateway through the project to the river walk immediately south of the building. The narrow southern bar, containing smaller seminar rooms, private offices, and break-out spaces, functions as a screen, presenting a more open face to the river. DIVERSIFIED SPACE 该混合学术项目安排在了两排建筑体块上，形成了一个集中式的聚集空间，通过各个部分进入，创造了三种类型的集体式公共场所：一个开放式的底层活动场地；楼梯之上是可以‘高谈阔论’的休息厅和座谈场所；楼梯之下是‘安静’的学习和研究场所。The mixed academic program is arranged in two bars that define a centralized gathering space that is stepped in section to create three types of collective public spaces: an open ground-level event space; ‘loud’ lounge and break-out spaces above the steps; and ‘quiet’ study and research spaces below the steps.
